How does check-in work? Is a key exchange necessary?

The front door is coded, a key exchange is not necessary. You can check-in anytime after 4pm.

Is the property private? Are there any shared spaces with the other homes?

Our homes are located in two side-by-side duplex buildings. Our layout is fantastic as each home has its own private entry, patio area, BBQ, enclosed garage parking, indoor laundry, and beach supplies.

Is smoking allowed on the property?

Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property, including patios, garages, and common areas.  If smoking occurs on the property, the security deposit will be forfeited. Smoking is also not allowed on the boardwalks or beaches and ticketing is a common occurrence. 

Are events or parties allowed?

No, we do not allow events or parties of any kind.  If a party or event is held on the property, the security deposit will be forfeited and the guests will be evicted. 

Do you have a bbq?

Yes, each home has its own BBQ and we provide propane. If you run out of propane please call us.

Do you allow early check-in or late check-out?

We usually will have another group coming or going so typically are not able to accommodate an early check-in or a late check-out, however we’ll do our best to work with you to accommodate your plans if possible! Please contact us for more details.

Is the noise policy strict?

Yes, we require guests to respect our neighborhood and we enforce appropriate noise levels throughout the day and strict quiet hours after 10pm. If you are bothered by any noise violations while staying with us, do not hesitate to call us. If a neighbor reports a noise disturbance or police are called and a violation is issued, the guest security deposit will be forfeited.

How close is the beach?

We are just steps away from the beach, and a short walk to the bay! Mission Beach is a skinny peninsula; both the Bayside and Oceanside have sandy beaches and a lively boardwalk. We are two properties away from the beachfront and about one and a half blocks away from the bayfront. The bay is calmer with warmer water. The ocean is livelier and has great waves.
